- Western and Central Africa: 1.4% (4.9 million)
- Asia and the Pacific: 0.2% (5.8 million)
- Western and Central Europe and North America: 0.2% (2.2 million)
- Latin America: 0.4% (2.1 million)
- Eastern Europe and Central Asia: 0.9% (1.7 million)
- The Caribbean: 1.1% (330,000)
Notes: Reflects 2019 data. "Prevalence of adults" reflect the percent of people ages 15-49 who are infected. "Number of people" includes those infected, of all ages.
