The Healthcare sector in Thailand is quite diverse with the country being a recognised hub for health tourism due to the high number of doctors who are specialists in specific fields and some of the excellent primary healthcare facilities. Thailand introduced a universal healthcare system in 2002, making affordable primary healthcare available throughout the country. With a strong economy and a significant middle class, there are significant opportunities for pharmaceutical companies and suppliers of medical products. The demand for medical devices is also set to continue to show strong growth.
