- 56% of American health consumers would trust pharmacists to provide healthcare and prescriptions if it meant lower costs
- 55% would trust nurse practitioners and 50% would trust physician assistants
- 72% would be open to having medications prescribed by a specially-trained pharmacist instead of a doctor
- 51% worry about potential problems with their prescriptions stemming from understaffed pharmacies
- 64% say prices for their medications have gone up over the past few years
- 56% among those without health insurance skip medications due to costs, compared to 42% for the insured.
- 77% say if it meant lower costs, they would prefer to receive medication by mail
