- 61% talk about what would happen at the visit
- 31% promise to get a treat after the visit
- 26% have them play with a toy medical kit
- 23% read a book or have them watch a show about going to the doctor
- 22% don't do anything special to prepare their child
- 21% tell the child there wouldn’t be any shots
